I wasn’t going to do a friday introduction this week, but then I thought the question asked this week was a good thing to think through. And yes, it’s supposed to be a friday post, but who is really going to mind that detail but myself?!
What goal or theme do I have for the new year?
Previously, I’ve not been one to do a theme for the entire year, but as I read that question, all I could think about was…
i n t e n t i o n : the action or fact of intending
. This year as a wife, I want to be intentional about loving my husband and growing in new ways to be an encouragement and support for Matt.
. As a mama to my boys, I’d love to have a fresh perspective of intended time we spend together – no matter what we fill our times with, to intentionally enjoy them.
. Being a daughter to the king, the time I spend with my heavenly Father I intend on keeping just for Him. Despite however tired I may be.
. I’d like to be intentional about replying and communicating better with people (snail mail, email, text, phone call, you name it!). I’ve been procrastinating those things for years.
. I intend to live outside my own little world and keep my eyes open to where I can show some love.
There are many others (I’m sure) that I will think of to add to this list, but for now, I think this is a good place to start.
Do you have a theme/word/goal for the new year?
