It’s been a while since I’ve had the time just sit down and write a post!! We were gone last weekend to Whitefish, Montana and since coming back, I’ve just been trying to keep up with day-to-day life.
While we were there, we vegged in our lodge loft, visited some eclectic diners, took short hikes in National Glacier Park, ate pizza at local joints, played at the park, did some Target shopping, visited ‘the Biggest Truck in the World’ … had the ultimate time relaxing as our little family. Judah referred to our lodge as the “fresh house” and every time we left, he would ask when we were going back to Montana! After trying to explain it to him over and over that we WERE in Montana, we finally gave up and just answered, “Soon.” As for the “fresh house”, I’m wondering how he mentally labels our actual house ha! Hunter was thrilled to have any time outside … especially at the national park. Standing in the river above a waterfall, climbing up mossy rocks, gathering every stick he saw (yup, every one) this guy was in heaven! Matt seemed to rest and treated us all with 1. his complete attention (no work distractions) and 2. this wonderful time away! I actually read an entire book while we were there, slept SO well, and had THE best mother’s day.
Rest and time together is what we needed … and that we got. So thankful for the unwind, Whitefish, MT – we will be back.
