hello, occupied week.

PINGood bye white pants (it is after labor day, ya know!) … hello cozy knits!  After the coolness of this weekend, I certainly feel that autumn is here, fully.  On instagram, I saw lots of people south of us “embracing” the last bits of summer in their friends pools, at the ocean, at the lake, or just bbq-ing in their backyard.  Meanwhile, it’s been chilly, rainy and cozy-up kind of weather feelings up here.  I’ll still be hanging onto the hope for that indian summer to present itself (as it normally does)!

This week, Matt and I have labelled “closing of commitments” week, whereas last week was our “finishing off projects” week.  After Sunday, I don’t have anything pressing on the calendar, minus our daily rhythm things, except welcoming this babe into our arms.  I am sooooo looking forward to the slower pace and the “embracing” of all that fall has to bring.  Besides our commitments, here are some other things we hope to do …

. finishing painting my living room wall (yay!)

. getting back into the rhythm of our preschool mornings.  a friend and her boys are joining us this fall!

. meeting with some new accountants – need to find a new one asap.

. having a home day on thursday.  thinking we’ll probably bake something … apple pie anyone?!

. last week we canned some crab apple juice with Matt’s mom … she picked up some pears so we will be canning those this week.

. we ordered some fresh atlantic lobster in from PEI for our life group peeps on friday night – can. not. wait.

. living with this mentality this week.  lately, i’ve been caught up in projects and these lil adventurers of mine need to get out and wander.

Calista - It has been in the 90s for us this week. It’s warm, or at least, we think it’s warm. We are kind of weather weanies though 🙂 It looks like you’re enjoying life and I am so excited to see your house revamp!ReplyCancel
