It’s five years today, babe.  Five years of being the woman by your side.  Five years that I’ve been protected, unconditionally loved, helped, encouraged, supported, spoiled, spurred on

Today marks the day of our wedding anniversary.  Today is a day that we began our husband-wife adventures on.  Today … a day I could not be more grateful for. He provides for me and our little

family pics.

Last month before our vacation, my ever so talented friend, Sherah, took some photos of us down at the river.  It was a super hot day (for up here in Canada, at least!) and to dip our feet in

three years ago…

My life changed. My name, my living arrangements, my family, my future…all got redesigned, transformed into what now is part of my everyday life.  The beautiful life I get to live with the

day on the boat.

We were literally on the boat for hours … though it felt like only maybe one hour or two.  I’m relating it to kind of like how this summer has felt – moving way too quickly.  Maybe

the mexican getaway.

“It’s always refreshing to step into another time…” ~Diane Lane Hola!  As you can see, our week away was full of laughs, family visiting, beach time, pool-side

Today I am so thankful. Especially for the man who I get to spend my life here on earth with.  It is he who loves me, protects me, cares for me, serves God with me, encourages me, walks with me.

Weekend Naps … Matt’s got this rule for the weekends (the ones he isn’t working, at least).  His “rule” is that we must schedule enough time for a nap in between

our christmas.

After a busy few days – from our house to the grandparents’ houses and back again – I wish we could go back to capture ALL of Judah’s first Christmas on video!

merry & bright.

Merry Christmas Eve! My computer technically fizzed out this week and I’ve tremendously missed sharing over here!  I’m hoping it’s just a battery issue…we’ll

Here are some (random) smatterings of what’s been going on over here … House for … SOLD! What a relief it is to have our flip-property sold!  After being on the market for almost 6

Listening to Matt serenade me with some Paul Simon, Neil Young, Mumford & Sons (just to name a few!), I’m enjoying our unedited life as it’s happening.  There are laundry

“first” date

Last night we took our first date without the little lion man.  We talked (even though lots of it was about Juju!) free of interruption, ate a delicious meal, grabbed a coffee, took a country drive

awaiting the arrival

My mind has been, let’s just say, “occupied” with when baby will finally makes it’s debut!  The actual 40-week due date was May 25.  I have officially come to terms

waiting …. thankfully!

Tomorrow is my “technical” due date.  Which, in some ways, has come very fast but in others, has taken it’s pretty time.  This last week, I’ve been more antsy, just

random thoughts & things

After my breakfast (tried this french toast recipe today…yum!), a bit of cleaning up, a pleasant visit with my midwife, lunch with my beautiful friend, a long afternoon nap, grocery shopping

lovin’ it

This morning I woke up to such a beautiful surprise …. the sun!!  It was 5:45am, and the rays were already warming our room with golden happiness.  I am NOT your by-the-book morning

It’s been one year, and 7 days since we got hitched!  Here are some more of our wedding pictures to reminisce from our so very special

first comes love…then comes marriage!

Yup…today is the day.  The day that marks our one-year anniversary of being married.  It is wild to think of after waiting 4.5 years of dating, we finally (!) got engaged, then

where have i been?! and other random news…

Hello, little blog … and hello, friends who happen to read my little blog! Life has been so surprising, changing, unfathomable, and exciting lately.  Over the past four months, I feel

the secret’s out!

I let the surprise out!!  We are off to see ColdPlay at Lollapalooza in Chicago … TONIGHT!!!  SO excited … I could barely sleep last night!  We are just heading on the

s’more of the simplicity…

What a great long weekend camping in Kananaskis – Blue Rock Campground (can’t believe that it’s already “last weekend”!).  Away from it all…phones, internet,

A couple weeks ago, I told Matt that I had a surprise for him but he wouldn’t be able to know what it is for a month.  Do you know how difficult it has been to keep this in?!?!  Aye!

teacup bathing + camping

I was introduced to this obsession of outdoor waterholes from a blogger friend’s posts at August and After.  If it be hot or cold, she’s seemed to search out the best options.

In 25 days, I will be marrying m’Love … the man who encourages me daily, challenges me to new heights continually, protects me, loves on me, believes in what I dream to do/or become,

Sometimes, I just wish there was another 2 hours of sunlight to spend outside, another 45 minutes to meet a deadline due right now, and, as I told myself this morning, another 3 hours to sleep after

another go, a new day

Once again, the aura envelopes us … fresh air, new beginnings, crisp intentions … a new year! Never have I really made resolutions for a new year, but I always anticipate this

crazy rest

WOW!! It’s been a whirlwind as of late … getting engaged, planning a wedding for February, finding a new house and starting to move, Christmas … but, oh-so-much fun!!! There is

going to the chapel ….

and we’re GONNA GET MARRIED!!! I love you Darling xo pic pix: earlier tonight … can’t believe the look on my face!! 23.Nov.2010

love is …

Love is encouragment – I was overwhelmed today … a lot on my plate at work, a lot going on emotionally within. The only way I can describe my emotions was as if I had reactional

roughed out

I looked at this bark and thought, “Is this how it was intended to be?” …  a beauty mark, perhaps, explaining just that? As Matt was fishing the other Saturday, I was poking

Here’s a little “taste” of our fast-blast down to San Francisco last Saturday … …M’love … ready to eat that seafood he

We ventured to the K-country (Kananaskis) this weekend … something I suggest everyone should have the privy of before they die.  The mountain air, rolling foothills, and surrounding

island of color

Yet another weekend of awesome sights, unforgettable experiences, warm hospitality … I didn’t want to leave!  To have the privilege of being apart of such a special weekend

good morning

Good Friday, we went for a very early morning drive (like 6:30am early!!).  The light was clear and there were no clouds in the sky … perfect for capturing the colors and contours that
